Christopher Moore- The Lost Lizard of Melancholy Cove
Some people have been saying for years that since I read Carl Hiaasen, I should try Christopher Moore. So when I noticed this one when putting things back to library shelves, I decided to give him a try.
So therapist of the California retirement community decides to replace all the medication of their patients with placebos, thousand-years-old sea monster decides to surface near the town and everybody is suddenly very horny. Pseudo-deputy tries to make a sense of all this, old blues man comes into town, ex-Xena analogy goes cracy and kids are stupid.
Oooookei.....
Why am I not that impressed about this? Characters are not that interesting, weirdness for weirdness sake goes to overdrive and Moore probably needs to get laid. Maybe I am not part of this target demographic?
